Through HYB anyone aged 26 and younger with an interest in the dairy industry can join and take part in a wide range of activities. These include Club training and social events, the annual Weekend Rally, the All Breeds All Britain Calf Show and international competitions, which provide members with the opportunity to network, socialise, learn and compete..

“I was a member of HYB for four years and my favourite event was always the ABAB Calf Show. It’s such a rewarding feeling after all of the hard work you’ve put in to all of the calves, for them to compete on the best platform for dairy calves in the UK. I still attend many events in my capacity as Club Secretary and really enjoy the team spirit within the different clubs whilst building the stands and getting the chores done! As well as developing skills through competing at the Weekend Rally and ABAB Calf Show, HYB gave me some fantastic experiences such as a trip to the European Young Breeders School in Belgium, the Semex International Dairy Conference and even Toronto for the Royal Winter Fair.”
Cari is an ex-HYB member, President’s Medal winner and is the current Secretary of the Cornwall Holstein Club
